List of Prayers to the Saints

Close friend of God who is all pure, you chose before the privileges of life the privilege of virginal purity.  Even your promise of purity in the married state was guarded by an angel of the Lord.  May I share in the joys of your heart as you professed your love for God before the stone idols of paganism.

Intercede for me that I may share the joys of my faith with those who do not yet know you, and those who still hear only the voices of the world.

(Mention your request)

Guard me in my time of hardship, enlighten my mind that I may sing praise to you with the purity of your love so that in heaven my voice will blend with that of the heavenly choir to give eternal praise and glory to the name of the Holy Trinity, Amen.

O glorious saint, who chose to die instead of denying your King, we pray you please to help us as His fair praise we sing!

(Mention your request)

We lift our hearts in joyous song to honor Him this way, and while we sing, remembering, to sing is to doubly pray.

At once in our hearts and in our tongues we offer double prayer sent heavenward on winged notes to praise God dwelling there.

While in our hearts and tongues we try with song to praise God twice, we ask dear saint, to help us be united close to Christ!
